I am Barbara Inostroza
Psychologist graduated from the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For years, I have dedicated myself to the clinical field, supporting people at various stages of their lives, helping them better understand themselves and face challenges. My therapeutic approach is holistic, based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which means we work together in the "here and now," without losing sight of the influence of our past experiences and the personal history that has shaped us.
I was born in Valdivia, Chile, and I've experienced migration from an early age. My family moved to Buenos Aires when I was five, and later we returned to Valdivia, only to return to Argentina. Each move brought new customs, friendships, and experiences that shaped my character and broadened my perspective on what it means to adapt and grow in diverse cultures. In 2021, my husband and I decided to take another step and moved to Germany. Living on a new continent, learning a different language, and becoming familiar with another culture has allowed me to further understand the adaptability and strength we all possess.
My goal is to share with you what I've learned and help you discover your own resilience potential during this adaptation process. CBT can be a powerful tool for restructuring thoughts and emotions that can arise during a migration context, where we face challenges such as homesickness and culture shock. I'm here to accompany you through this new life cycle, supporting you in building a solid foundation so you can enjoy and thrive in your new reality.

I am convinced that every person has the capacity to transform and discover healthier and more fulfilling versions of themselves. My therapeutic approach is based on psychoanalysis, complemented by a holistic approach that considers the whole person: mind, body, emotions, and the social and cultural environment in which we live. This approach allows us to explore each individual's personal history and the connections that have shaped their experiences, providing a space to redefine those aspects that may be hindering their current well-being.
In 2017, after having lived much of my life in Buenos Aires, I felt the need to broaden my understanding of the world in an international context. With that goal in mind, I decided to emigrate to Germany to experience firsthand the challenges and lessons that come with living in a different cultural environment. This experience allowed me to deeply understand the psychological impact of migration, especially regarding homesickness, mourning for one's home country, and the process of adapting to a new culture.
